7DS Origin Calculator

1. Introduction

7DS Calc ("we", "our", "us", or "the site") is a fan-made tool for Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it's used, and what choices you have. The site is operated by an individual, not a company, and is not affiliated with Netmarble.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Local Storage Data

Your team selections, calculator inputs, weapon configurations, and similar tool state are saved to your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. We have no way to see or recover it. Clearing your browser data will erase it.

2.2 Analytics Data (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic in aggregate. What it collects:

• Pages visited and time on page
• Device type, browser, screen size
• Approximate geographic location (country / region level)
• How you arrived (search, direct, referrer)
• An anonymous client ID stored in a cookie

Google Analytics does not collect names, emails, or any personally identifying information. It's aggregate traffic data only, used to decide what to improve next on the site.

2.3 Advertising Data (Google AdSense)

The site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or its partner networks. AdSense and its third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Specifically:

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies via aboutads.info.

2.4 Email Correspondence

If you email us at contact@7dscalc.com, we'll have your email address and message content. We use it to reply to you and nothing else. We don't add it to a mailing list and we don't share it.

3. How We Use the Information

• Provide and maintain the calculators and guides
• Understand which pages get traffic and what to prioritize
• Display advertising that helps cover hosting and domain costs
• Reply to feedback and error reports you send by email

We don't sell, rent, or trade your data. We don't build user profiles or run retargeting campaigns. We don't share email addresses with third parties.

4. Cookies

The site uses cookies for two purposes:

• Analytics cookies — Set by Google Analytics. Used to identify unique visitors and measure page traffic. These are first-party cookies tied to a random client ID.
• Advertising cookies — Set by Google AdSense and its advertising partners. Used to serve and measure ad effectiveness. These may be third-party cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won't break the calculators (which use localStorage instead, not cookies), but ad relevance will be reduced and analytics will undercount traffic.

The site uses the following third-party services:

Each service has its own privacy practices that govern data processed through that service.

6. Children's Privacy

7DS Calc is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please email contact@7dscalc.com and we'll delete it.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Clear local storage at any time via your browser settings
• Disable analytics cookies via browser settings or extensions
• Opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings
• Request deletion of any email correspondence by emailing contact@7dscalc.com
• For EU/UK residents: rights under GDPR (access, deletion, portability) — request via the contact email
• For California residents: rights under CCPA — request via the contact email

8. Data Retention

Local storage stays on your device until you clear it. Google Analytics data is retained per Google's default policy (currently 14 months for user-level data). Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation, then archived or deleted.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when third-party services change, when new tools launch on the site, or when laws change. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Significant changes will be noted in the site footer for at least 30 days.
