7DS Origin Calculator

Seven Deadly Sins: Origin — Pity Calculator, Team Builder & Tools

About 7DS Calc

7DS Calc is a small set of calculators and guides for Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. It exists because the game launched on March 16, 2026 with a three-layer pity system that's genuinely complicated to reason about, and most existing pity calculators were either built for older Netmarble games or hadn't updated their math.

Why this exists

I started playing 7DS Origin on the PC launch and immediately ran into the "how many pulls do I need" question. The answer isn't simple. There's a 50/50 system, soft pity that kicks in around pull 65, hard pity at 80 with a guaranteed SSR, and a 120-pull one-time guarantee for the rate-up character. The absolute worst case is 160 pulls. Multiply that by 300 Star Memory per pull and you're looking at significant resource decisions.

The existing calculators I found either ignored the 120-pull safety net or applied probability formulas that didn't match what the community was actually seeing. So I built one that handles all three pity layers correctly and shows the math.

Once the calculator was working, the rest of the site followed: tier list, team builder, weapon optimizer, damage calculator, reroll guide, banner schedule. Stuff I needed myself, made available for everyone else who plays.

What's on the site

  • Pity Calculator — Calculate pulls needed for guaranteed SSR or rate-up character. Handles all three pity layers and shows probability charts.
  • Team Builder — Pick your characters, get optimized team compositions for PvE, boss fights, and exploration.
  • Weapon Optimizer — Calculate the 100% main + 30% sub weapon stat totals for any character.
  • Damage Calculator — Compare skill damage with debuff stacking. Shows non-crit, crit, and expected damage.
  • Tier List — Community-sourced rankings for the launch meta. Updated when characters get balance changes.
  • Reroll Guide — The fastest reroll method (15-20 minutes per attempt) and which characters to target.
  • Banners — Active banners, confirmed rates, free pull resources.

Where the data comes from

Different categories have different sources:

  • Pity rates are from the in-game disclosure shared via @7DSOriginNews and confirmed in the Game8 launch livestream. Hard pity at 80 and the 120-pull guarantee are official.
  • Soft pity start (~65) is an estimate based on community pull data. Netmarble has not officially disclosed the exact ramp curve.
  • Tier list rankings are sourced from Game8, GachaGo, UltimateGacha, plus discussions on the 7DS Origin subreddit and Discord. Where sources disagree, I note it in the character description.
  • Skill multipliers in the damage calculator come from in-game skill descriptions where available (Jericho's Ice Needle 262%, Tristan's Punisher 243%, Gilthunder's Lightning Sword 176%, Tioreh's Dragon Breath 273%). Others are estimated from gameplay testing and updated as data is confirmed.
  • Weapon stats follow the confirmed formula: 100% main + 30% sub1 + 30% sub2, +3% per enhancement level.

What this site is not

7DS Calc is a fan-made tool. It is not affiliated with Netmarble or the Seven Deadly Sins franchise. There are no official partnerships, sponsorships, or paid promotions on the site. Some pages have Amazon affiliate links to gaming gear (relevant only on a few future guides) and may eventually display Google AdSense advertisements to cover hosting costs.

This isn't Game8 or Liquipedia. Those are full-time editorial teams with deep coverage of every aspect of the game. 7DS Calc focuses on the math and the planning side. If you want detailed character lore, story walkthroughs, or every weapon variant cataloged, those other sites are better.

Privacy

Your team selections and calculator inputs are saved to your browser's local storage. Nothing leaves your device. The only data collected is anonymous Google Analytics traffic stats (page views, country, browser). Full details on the privacy policy page.

Feedback

If something looks wrong, a number is off, a character's kit changed and the site is stale, please reach out via the contact page. The game updates often and a single person can't catch every change in time.
